Felicity Clement : Felicity began studying the violin age 9 and quickly became involved with the Sheffield music community, working her way up through the schools orchestras, then the City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra and, after graduation, the Sheffield Symphony Orchestra. She studied solo violin with Bridget King and later, Nina Martin. She also attended the Sheffield Music School, giving her opportunities to participate in a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. These opportunities widened further whilst attending Cambridge University, where as well as performing regularly in chamber orchestras for Clare College, Fitzwilliam College and Jesus College, Felicity was a founding member of the Cambridge University Baroque Ensemble, had the chance to work with John Rutter, and even to perform Schostakovich’s piano quintet in G minor for his widow, Irina Schotakovich as part of a festival of his music. She regularly plays in different ensembles around Sheffield. |
